Why sending appreciation rewards


Retaining clients is the first step towards growing your business, but it shouldn’t be the last one. New lead generation is critical to your success, and a customer advocacy program creating referral opportunities must be a part of your marketing strategy.


In Property Management, business development efforts often look outside the company’s existing client database and miss out on referral opportunities, which are typically higher quality leads and cheaper to generate.


The key factors to explain this are:

  • a lack of knowledge of the satisfaction levels (and therefore a lack of confidence to ask for referrals), 
  • a lack of communication between portfolio management and business development,
  • a lack of an ongoing and easily actionable system to generate referral leads.

When your happy customers (aka advocates) participate in providing positive feedback and/or public reviews, you should show your appreciation. Send handwritten cards

Next to each satisfied customer, you will notice a “Send a Reward” button:

Hit this button and it will open a popup form with the contact details of the client and a pre populated message for a handwritten thank you card.

You can change the value in every field: recipient name, mailing address and the message to be handwritten on the card.

Insert Gift Cards

You can also decide to insert a Gift Card in the card's envelope:

  • Coffee card (recommended), or 
  • Visa card (for general purchase)

This personal attention and gift will make a lasting impression on your clients and create a positive experience they will remember and associate with your brand.

Most importantly it triggers the reciprocity principle, which is one of the basic laws of social psychology: we tend to pay back what we received from others.

Anatomy of a referrals generating message

The preset message is designed with 2 main goals. While you can craft your own message, we suggest keeping the following structure:

  • The first part is about showing your appreciation for their business and positive feedback. Making them feel greatly valued.
  • The second part is about creating a natural path for them to “pay you back”. Being front of mind, you’re more likely to turn this happy client getting great attention into an advocate actively generating referral leads.

Once you hit “Send”, we will process your order and send a physical thank you card with your message handwritten. We will insert the selected Gift Card (optional) in the also handwritten envelope.

That is a special reward for your clients!

  • I noticed at the bottom it says "Charges apply. Contact your account manager for more details." Can you please advise of the cost nationwide ASAP
    • Ans: We have a $9.90 charge for each card sent. This includes the card branded Propertyscouts, the writing and postage costs. Any Gift Card is an additional cost and as per form (e.g for for coffee cards):
